Mausoleum of Augustus
A circular monument, ordered by Augustus as a tomb for himself and his family, it was covered by a tumults with cypress tree and had a bronze statue of the emperor.

This is an artificial hill created in ancient Roman times from the discarded shards of the adjacent food warehouse, nicknamed "Monte dei Cocci" ("Shard Hill") by the Romans.
